The Waters ionKey Source is the TQ (triple quadrupole) variant of the ionKey/MS ion source, designed to integrate microflow UPLC separation directly into the source of a compatible Waters mass spectrometer. It precisely positions the iKey separation device and its integral electrospray emitter at the optimal location within the mass spectrometer.

All fluid connections, electronic connections (including column heater and electrospray high voltage), and gas connections (sheath gas) are made internally within the source upon iKey device insertion — eliminating the need to manually connect individual capillary lines or electronic cables. Inserting the iKey simultaneously engages all electronic and fluidic connections with a single locking action.

The TQ-variant ionKey source (Model Code: INK) is designed for use with triple quadrupole instruments (e.g., Xevo TQ-S, Xevo TQ-XS) and does not include a reference probe (which is reserved for ToF-based instruments). The source is supported for use with the ACQUITY UPLC M-Class System.
