The Viavi Solutions (formerly JDSU) OTU-5000 Optical Test Unit is a compact, rack-mounted remote OTDR platform designed for automated optical network monitoring. It combines optical time-domain reflectometry (OTDR) and optical-switch technology to deliver continuous fibre monitoring across multiple spans anywhere in the network.

The EOTDR2-L-A1-COTU module operates at 1625 nm in an out-of-band C+L configuration, allowing OTDR measurements to be performed on fibres carrying live traffic without service disruption. A single OTU-5000 unit monitoring 72 fibres of 100 km and more occupies only 1RU, making it one of the most space-efficient solutions available for network monitoring centres.

• Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of up-to 20% is applicable for items returned for any reason other than not as specified.
