It integrates a calibrated laser light source and optical power meter into a single, robust handheld unit, eliminating the need for two separate instruments.

The 2286/02 version supports three wavelengths — 1310 nm, 1490 nm, and 1550 nm — simultaneously, making it particularly well suited to FTTx and passive optical network (PON) applications. Loss measurements at all wavelengths can be read and displayed concurrently, significantly accelerating field testing workflows.
