PON Measuring Devices for ZTV-43 Certification

The OLP-88S was developed by Viavi Solutions especially for measurements and validations concerning Deutsche Telekom’s passive fiber optic network.

With the help of DTAG’s smartphone app, a workflow-controlled pass/fail analysis can be carried out quickly using the PON measurement set based on predefined test scenarios and threshold values. The measurement protocol is generated automatically by the software. In this way, even non-optical fiber experts can quickly perform an acceptance measurement according to the specifications of ZTV-43.

Thanks to TruePON’s GPON data analysis in combination with a measurement at 1490 nm, optical insertion loss can be measured during network operation and all optical line terminals (OLTs) currently connected can be identified. This guarantees that the right optical fiber with the right attenuation is available for each ONT.
