The Viavi (formerly JDSU) OLP-4057 is a selective power meter module that adds PON optical power measurement capability to the T-BERD/MTS-2000 and T-BERD/MTS-4000 modular test platforms. It is designed for FTTx and PON network turn-up, commissioning, and maintenance applications.

The through mode feature enables simultaneous, non-intrusive measurement of both downstream wavelengths (1490 nm and 1550 nm) and the 1310 nm upstream wavelength without interrupting live network services — a critical requirement for in-service PON testing. The module also delivers accurate power measurements of burst mode 1310 nm upstream signals, which are characteristic of GPON and EPON upstream traffic.
