The VIAVI SmartClass OLA-55M (BN 2280/22) is a motorised, single-mode variable optical level attenuator with an integrated level controller mode. It is designed for fibre system testing, as well as the installation, maintenance, and production of single-mode fibres. The OLA-55M includes a built-in power meter enabling direct stabilised output power level control without the need for separate instruments. It is suitable for use up to 40 Gbps systems due to its minimised differential group delay (DGD), and measurements are traceable to NIST/PTB international standards.
