The JDSU (Viavi) MTS 6000A with 81MRDISPAP ODM (Optical Dispersion Module) is a handheld, modular fibre characterisation platform designed for installation and maintenance of high-speed optical networks including 10 GigE, 40 G, and beyond. The ODM module combines Chromatic Dispersion (CD), Polarisation Mode Dispersion (PMD), and Attenuation Profile (AP) measurements in a single test unit, enabling full fibre characterisation essential for CWDM, DWDM, and ROADM network validation.

All test methods used in the ODM module are approved and/or referenced by international standardisation bodies. The high dynamic range, wide wavelength acquisition range, and high accuracy make it a field-proven solution for reliable fibre characterisation.
