The Viavi (formerly JDSU) MTS 6000A V2 is a compact, modular OTDR platform designed for field technicians and engineers working on singlemode and multimode fibre networks. The touch-screen mainframe accepts a range of plug-in test modules via the 6300 module carrier, allowing the platform to be configured for OTDR, optical power meter, light source, and advanced fibre analysis applications in a single portable unit.

The Viavi 8126B module is a high-performance singlemode OTDR module optimised for long-haul and metro network testing. When combined with the SMART TEST software option, the system automates fibre characterisation, pass/fail reporting, and event analysis, reducing the skill level required for accurate field testing.
