The Viavi Solutions MTS 2000 V2 is a compact, portable handheld mainframe from the T-BERD/MTS platform range, designed to support a wide variety of plug-in test modules for field fibre optic network testing. The mainframe features a touchscreen interface, built-in power meter with universal 1.25/2.5 mm adapters, integrated visual fault locator, wireless connectivity, and on-board report generation via FastReport.

The Viavi 4138 MP49 (MP OTDR) module is engineered to deliver optimum performance for fibre installers and service providers testing metro, cable TV (CATV), and FTTH networks with high-port-count splitters. With tri-wavelength capability and filtered wavelengths for in-service testing, improved dynamic range, and optimised resolution and dead zones at short pulses, the MP module is the ideal OTDR for testing any PON system with up to a 1x128 splitting ratio.
