The JDSU (Viavi Solutions) mOPM-B1RH1 is a single-channel remote head interface module belonging to the MAP Optical Power Meter (mOPM-B1) family, designed for use with the Multiple Application Platform (MAP-200). As a remote head base module, it accommodates external detector heads and allows the detector to be positioned directly at the device under test (DUT), independent of the MAP-200 chassis location. The interface module is compatible with all performance grades of remote head and can accommodate a mix of performance grades within a single chassis slot.

The mOPM-B1 series is a second-generation optical power meter that extends the measurement capability of the MAP-200 by offering three grades of optical performance — general purpose, high performance, and high power — in panel-mount or remote-head configurations with 1, 2, or 4 inputs per module. All performance grades are based on InGaAs detectors, suitable for single-mode (SM) and multimode (MM) fibre applications, and feature high accuracy, high linearity, and extremely low polarisation-dependent loss (PDL).

The OPMscope Super Application, available for use with the mOPM-B1 on the MAP-200 platform, provides graphical representation of optical signals in the optical domain, supporting triggering on rising or falling edges, pre-trigger history, pan and zoom, and export of up to 100,000 captured data points.
