The Viavi (formerly JDSU) SmartClass Ethernet (CSC-ETH) is a cost-effective, easy-to-use Ethernet and IP field test solution designed for front-line technicians commissioning and qualifying Metro Ethernet services. The rugged, battery-operated handheld tester supports both electrical and optical testing in a single portable package, making it ideal for field deployment without the need for specialist networking expertise.
The CSC-ETH comes in two configurations: a loopback-only device and a full traffic generation model. It enables technicians to turn up Ethernet and IP services quickly using RFC 2544 testing or guided methods and procedures.
