The Viavi (formerly JDSU) E8138C-65 is a Very Long Range (VLR) singlemode OTDR module from the 8100 Series, designed for integration into the T-BERD/MTS-8000 modular test platform. It is engineered for long-haul, metro, and FTTx fibre network testing, including live in-service testing at 1650 nm without interrupting traffic.

The module supports three test wavelengths and is optimised for high dynamic range performance, enabling accurate characterisation of extremely long or high-loss fibre spans. The SC-APC connector minimises back-reflection interference during measurement.
