The Viavi (formerly JDSU) 8126 LR is a long-range singlemode OTDR module from the 8100 Series, designed for use with the MTS 6000 and compatible Viavi test platforms. It is engineered for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of long-haul and metro fibre optic networks, offering dual-wavelength operation at 1310 nm and 1550 nm. With a dynamic range of 43/41 dB and a maximum range capability of up to 380 km, it is ideal for trunk fibre characterisation, splice loss measurement, and fault localisation on extended singlemode spans.

The PC connector interface and short event dead zone of just 0.8 m ensure accurate event detection close to the launch point, while the 4 m attenuation dead zone supports precise splice and connector loss measurements. As a modular instrument, the 8126 LR is designed to slot into the Viavi MTS 6000 mainframe, offering a flexible, portable solution for field test engineers.

Returns Policy

• Return Period: In the event of an item being received which is 'not as specified', you can return your purchase within 14 days of delivery.
• Condition of Items: Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
• Return Method: All returns must be notified in writing to hello@ttinstruments.com, the email should accompany the order number, date and reason for return and must be within 14 days of delivery.
• Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of up-to 20% is applicable for items returned for any reason other than 'not as specified'.
• Refund Method: Refunds are processed to the original method of payment within 5 business days of receiving the return.
• Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges. It will either be a replacement or a refund.
• Return Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless the item is 'not as specified', in this case we will arrange for the return by way of a prepaid shipping label.
