Manufacturer's Description

The JDSU (now Viavi Solutions) 100GE 10x10G Electrical CFP Interface (BN 3061/92.98) is an accessory adapter designed for use with the JDSU ONT-500 and ONT-600 40/100G CFP-based test module platforms. It is intended for developers who need to develop and debug CFP components and other non-standard optics without using optical modules.

This native electrical adapter brings out the CAUI-like interface on a high-density coaxial pigtailed cable, allowing direct connectivity to prototype boards and systems. The adapter is passive — no control or power signals are brought out — and therefore its electrical parameters are determined by the CAUI interface of the ONT module to which it is connected. The cable assembly is removable and can be replaced.

The ONT physical layer application (option 92.52) provides users control over the CAUI and XLAUI pre-emphasis and voltage swing settings. ESD precautions must be observed at all times as this is laboratory-grade equipment with no built-in ESD protection.
