The Viavi 3Z RF Vision RFV-2000 (model 3Z-RFV-AAT-2000) is an innovative antenna alignment tool designed to help wireless network installers and engineers accurately align directional panel, microwave point-to-point, and 5G cylindrical antennas in the field. It combines dual-frequency GNSS technology, an integrated camera, and augmented reality targeting to streamline the alignment process and eliminate guesswork.

The tool connects to both GPS and GLONASS satellite constellations simultaneously using dual-frequency GNSS technology, providing access to approximately 174 satellite signals — approximately three times more than single-frequency competitor products. This delivers faster fix times and greater positional accuracy, even in challenging urban environments or on crowded tower sites.

The built-in camera displays a live view on the 5-inch impact-resistant LCD touchscreen with an augmented reality bullseye overlay, allowing the tower technician to align the antenna by simply moving the crosshair onto the target in a single intuitive step. The touchscreen is designed to respond through most work gloves. Once alignment is complete, the tool generates an automated line-of-sight survey report that can be shared via the companion mobile application before leaving the job site.

The 3Z RF Vision is 5G-ready, supporting alignment of high-gain millimeter-wave and massive MIMO cylindrical antennas that require precise LOS or NLOS positioning to maximise high-band mmW performance.
