The Verathon BladderScan Prime Plus is a portable 3D ultrasound system designed for the non-invasive measurement of urinary bladder volume at the point of care. Powered by ImageSense — Verathon's groundbreaking deep-learning artificial intelligence algorithm — it delivers automatic, accurate bladder volume results in seconds, requiring no manual probe fanning and no trained sonographer.

ImageSense automatically analyses over 900 lines of scan data per scan, tracing bladder boundaries segment by segment across 12 planes to calculate 3D volume across all adult and paediatric patient types and anatomies. The system features BladderTraq aim-assist for guided pre- and post-scan positioning, EdgeScan off-centre scan alerts, and a pioneering pubic bone interference indicator to optimise scan quality. The fully sealed probe protects sensitive electronics and supports compliance with hospital disinfection standards.

The console features a colour LCD touchscreen displaying bladder volume, directional aiming with real-time feedback, battery status, and stored exam recall. USB and SD card ports allow data export, and an optional integrated thermal printer enables immediate hard-copy output. The system is battery-powered with user-replaceable rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for full portability.
