It is compatible with DSA8300, DSA8200, TDS8200, and CSA8200 sampling oscilloscope mainframes.

The Tektronix 82A04B Phase Reference Module extends the capability of the DSA8300 digital serial analyzer sampling oscilloscope by providing extremely low jitter and drift sample position information to the mainframe. Sample position is based on the phase of a user-supplied clock signal, enabling acquisition jitter as low as <200 fsRMS (typical) and the possibility of triggerless (free-running) acquisition. The module is compatible with DSA8300, DSA8200, TDS8200, and CSA8200 mainframes.

Typical applications include design, verification, and manufacturing of telecom and datacom components and systems operating at 10 Gb/s and faster, including very high-speed optical and electrical signal acquisition and analysis.

The 82A04B implements phase reference time-base functionality in a flexible and novel architecture. Any phase-reference frequency within the operating range is accommodated without compromise, and advanced features such as FrameScan® remain fully available. The separate DSP per acquisition slot architecture of the DSA8300 enables acquisition rates exceeding 40 kS/s in Phase Reference mode (typical).

Modes of Operation:
- Phase Ref Free-Run: No external trigger required. The module and mainframe create a time base based solely on the phase of the reference clock. All user controls remain active.
- Phase Ref Triggered: Both a reference clock and a traditional external trigger are used. The mainframe triggers on the external signal while the phase reference minimises jitter.
- Characterise Mode: Used to characterise the phase reference signal before operating in Phase Ref Triggered or Free-Run modes.

Returns Policy

• Return Period: In the event of an item being received which is 'not as specified', you can return your purchase within 14 days of delivery.
• Condition of Items: Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
• Return Method: All returns must be notified in writing to hello@ttinstruments.com, the email should accompany the order number, date and reason for return and must be within 14 days of delivery.
• Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of up-to 20% is applicable for items returned for any reason other than 'not as specified'.
• Refund Method: Refunds are processed to the original method of payment within 5 business days of receiving the return.
• Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges. It will either be a replacement or a refund.
• Return Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless the item is 'not as specified', in this case we will arrange for the return by way of a prepaid shipping label.
