The Wright Medical X-Track Distraction & Compression Device (Part No. 5882000X) is a reusable stainless steel surgical instrument developed by Wright Medical Technology, Inc. (now part of Stryker) for use in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery. It is designed to provide controlled distraction or compression across an osteotomy or arthrodesis site during reconstructive procedures.

The X-Track is a component instrument within the ORTHOLOC 3Di Foot Reconstruction System and is used in procedures including medial displacement calcaneal osteotomy (MDCO), Evans osteotomy, Cotton osteotomy, and ankle fusion plating cases where additional external compression is required alongside internal fixation.

The device functions by securing half-pins into bone segments on either side of the osteotomy site via two pin collet assemblies. The movement knob is then rotated to move the collets apart (distraction) or together (compression). The core body of the device can be adjusted by pressing the collet adjustment button and relocked at 0°, 45°, or 90° positions to accommodate varied surgical approaches and anatomy.
