Product Description:
The TwinFix Interfragmentary Compression Screw System is a Leibinger solution for hand surgery, designed for percutaneous and open fixation of small bone fractures. The system features independent function of the proximal and distal screw threads to allow highly controlled, in-situ dynamic adjustable interfragmentary compression. The dual-component screw design allows the trailing end of the screw to be turned independently of the leading part after initial insertion, thereby generating additional and controlled compression across the fracture site.

The TwinFix screw requires a special screwdriver with two concentric hexagonal heads and a clutch mechanism to actuate the independent thread function. The system is primarily indicated for fixation of scaphoid fractures, metatarsal fractures, and osteotomies of the forefoot.
