The Stryker Memometal FIXOS system is a forefoot and mid-foot screw system originally developed by Memometal Technologies S.A. (Bruz, France) and now marketed by Stryker under its Foot & Ankle portfolio. Memometal Technologies was founded in 2002 and designs surgical implants using shape memory alloys for orthopaedic surgery of the foot, ankle, hand, and wrist.

The FIXOS system offers two screw types — cannulated compression screws and twist-off screws — both manufactured from titanium alloy (Ti 6Al-4V). The patented screw thread design features reverse thread angles for optimised compression and stable fixation.

The instrument set supports K-wire guided screw placement. A dual-scale K-wire ruler (70 mm and 100 mm) is included to measure wire length intra-operatively. Cannulated drill bits, screwdrivers, and drill guides are sized to correspond with the SV, CS, and WS screw families. A bone reduction forceps facilitates fragment reduction prior to screw insertion.

All non-sterile instruments must be cleaned and sterilised before use in accordance with Stryker reprocessing guidelines. Multi-component instruments must be disassembled for cleaning. Workshop training is recommended prior to first use.
