Stryker Mako Hip Instrumentation Kit — Manufacturer Overview

The Stryker Mako Hip Instrumentation Kit is a purpose-designed set of surgical instruments used in conjunction with the Stryker Mako SmartRobotics™ Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) system. The kit supports robotic-arm assisted total hip replacement procedures, enabling surgeons to achieve accurate femoral and acetabular component placement guided by pre-operative 3D CT-based planning.

The Mako THA system combines CT-based 3D planning, AccuStop™ haptic technology, and intraoperative data analytics to assist surgeons in executing a personalised surgical plan. The instrumentation tray supports both the Express and Enhanced femoral workflows, accommodating a range of surgical approaches including posterolateral and direct anterior.

The Accolade II Neck Trials included in the kit correspond to the Accolade II Femoral Hip System, a cementless, press-fit broach-only stem designed using the SOMA (Stryker Orthopaedic Modelling and Analytics) database. The stem features a morphometric wedge design with size-specific medial curvature for enhanced canal fit and fill.
