The Stryker Plating System (SPS) Basic Fragment Set is a comprehensive orthopaedic fixation implant system designed for the treatment of fractures of the cortical and metaphyseal areas of long bones. The system provides a broad range of cortical and cancellous ISO screws to support multiple plate fixation functions including compression, neutralisation, buttressing, and bridging.

Screw Design:
All SPS screws feature a hexagonal head with a spherical underside. Cortical screws within the range are self-tapping, with three cutting flutes on the tip for cleaner cutting and to avoid compacting of bone chips. Specially designed grooves enhance insertion torque. The range of screw lengths has been expanded and modified to suit different anatomical regions. Screw heads can be almost completely countersunk into the specifically designed plate holes.

Material Standards:
All SPS implants are available in Stainless Steel (316LVM) or Titanium Alloy (Ti-6Al-4V), meeting ASTM F138 & F139/ISO 5832-1 and ASTM F136/ISO 5832-3 standards respectively.

Indications:
Fracture fixation of the cortical and metaphyseal areas of long bones including the femur, tibia, humerus, and fibula. The system supports compression plating, neutralisation plating, buttress plating, and bridging osteosynthesis techniques.
