The Stanmore METS (Modular Endoprosthetic Tumour System) is a modular titanium endoprosthetic system designed for the reconstruction of large bone defects, typically following tumour resection. Developed by Stanmore Implants Worldwide Ltd — a company with origins at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore — the METS system was introduced in 2001 and has since been used in thousands of procedures worldwide.

The system provides an off-the-shelf modular solution that can be adapted intraoperatively to suit each patient's anatomy, eliminating the delays associated with custom-made implants. Components connect via precision interlocking taper junctions for secure and reliable assembly.

Primary bone tumours
Metastatic bone disease with impending or established pathological fracture
Failed joint replacements
Failed massive allografts or previous massive replacements
Complex skeletal reconstruction
