The Spirent mX2 is a high-density, dual-speed Ethernet test module for the Spirent TestCenter platform, designed to validate Layer 2–7 control and user plane performance in demanding network environments. The MX2-10G-S4 variant provides 4 SFP+ ports capable of operating at either 10GbE or 1GbE per port.

The mX2 architecture combines Spirent Cloud Core™ processing with high-performance multi-core CPUs to intelligently distribute processing resources across ports. This enables superior scale testing with multiple protocols running simultaneously on the same port — ideal for testing converged devices such as PE routers and mobile gateways.

A single module is capable of generating and analysing line-rate stateful and stateless traffic from all ports simultaneously, supporting high-scale routing, access, mobile, and enterprise application traffic.
