The Fujikura 90S is a single-fibre core alignment fusion splicer designed to deliver consistent, low-loss splicing performance across a wide range of field applications — from distribution fibre repair and long-haul network installation to FTTx drop cables, splice-on connectors, and OSP cable work.

The 90S features Active Fusion Control (AFC) technology, which uses real-time analysis of fibre brightness during the arc to apply optimal fusion parameters and compensate for poor cleave angles. Combined with Active Blade Management, the splicer communicates wirelessly with the Fujikura CT50 cleaver to monitor blade wear and trigger automatic blade rotation, eliminating the need for manual cleaver maintenance. The automated wind protector, sheath clamps, and fibre retention clamps allow the entire splice process — from placement to heating — to be completed without the operator touching the machine.

The universal sheath clamp handles both standard 250 µm and 900 µm loose tube fibres without swapping. The 4.9-inch adjustable colour TFT touchscreen is readable in all lighting conditions, and electrodes are replaced tool-free. The multifunction CC-39 transit case doubles as an integrated workstation.
