The Fujikura 90S is a single-fibre core alignment fusion splicer that sets a new standard for speed and precision in the field, suitable for everything from FTTx drop cable terminations and long-haul network installations to splice-on connector work and optical module assembly.

Designed to enable the operator to complete the entire splicing process — from splice to heat shrink — without touching the machine once the fibre is placed, the 90S combines a fully automated wind protector, fibre retention clamps, and auto-open sheath clamps into an intuitive, hands-free workflow. Active Fusion Control (AFC) technology analyses both cleave end-faces and applies real-time optimal arc power to deliver consistently low splice losses even on legacy or difficult fibre types. Active Blade Management communicates wirelessly via Bluetooth with the CT50 cleaver, automatically rotating the blade when wear is detected and displaying remaining blade life on-screen.

The CT50 cleaver itself features motorised automatic blade rotation, a 16-position blade rated for 60,000 single-fibre cleaves, a built-in fibre scrap collector, and ruggedised construction rated for drops up to 30 inches. Both the 90S and CT50 are made in Japan.
