The Fujikura 41S is a fully ruggedized, two-camera, active cladding alignment fusion splicer designed for portability, ruggedness, and reliability in professional fibre splicing applications. Core sensing loss estimation technology provides the most accurate assessment of splice loss available in any active cladding alignment splicer. Enabled by Warm Splice Imaging (WSI), the 41S determines the accuracy of core alignment by evaluating the splice during the heating process, delivering splice loss estimates with greater accuracy than those based solely on cladding alignment. The dual-camera, active V-groove alignment system provides consistent splicing performance in the most challenging conditions. Active Blade Management (ABM) via Bluetooth connection with the CT50 Fibre Cleaver tracks cleaver blade usage and enables automated blade rotation as needed, helping to mitigate fibre reburns. A 6-second splice time and 25-second shrink time offer unmatched speed and productivity. The large 5-inch touchscreen monitor provides a crystal-clear image even in direct sunlight, with simple and intuitive menu navigation. Interchangeable sheath clamps or fibre holders provide versatility for user preference and compatibility with fusion-installable connectors. Software updates are available via the internet as new splice programs become available. The CT50 Fibre Cleaver features automated blade rotation, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 16-position blade yielding up to 60,000 single-fibre cleaves or 5,000 12-fibre ribbon cleaves. The CT50 is ruggedised to withstand severe shock including drops up to 30 inches, and is fully field serviceable.
