This Anritsu MG3694C 40 GHz signal generator is offered for parts or repair. Calibration has failed — attenuator/level accuracy and frequency response are outside of specification (refer to the calibration certificate for detail of out-of-spec parameters). The instrument self-test passes. A crack is present on the top-left side of the front fascia. Active options fitted are Option 2B (Mechanical Step Attenuator) and Option 15B (High Power Output).

The Anritsu MG3694C is a microprocessor-based, synthesised signal generator with high-resolution phase-lock capability, forming part of the MG3690C broadband series. It generates both discrete CW frequencies and broad (full range) and narrow-band step sweeps across a standard frequency range of 2 GHz to 40 GHz, with options available to extend the low end of the range down to 0.1 Hz. The instrument is operable via intuitive front panel controls or remotely via GPIB (IEEE-488) or Ethernet connectivity, and preserves full backward compatibility with earlier MG3690A/B and 68C/69B series signal generators.
The MG3690C series is widely used in the design and manufacture of high-frequency systems, testing of microwave components, radar signal simulation, and the development and maintenance of communications systems.
