The Olympus CKX53 is a compact inverted culture microscope from Olympus (now Evident Scientific), designed to ease cell and tissue culture workflows in life science and biomedical research laboratories. It delivers stable, high-contrast imaging for live cell observation, cell sampling and handling, image capture, and fluorescence observation.

The integrated phase contrast (iPC) system provides clear, high-contrast views across 4x to 40x magnification without the need to exchange or re-centre the ring slit, simplifying the observation process. The inversion contrast (IVC) technique additionally provides clear three-dimensional views of transparent specimens. The microscope supports brightfield, phase contrast, inversion contrast, and fluorescence observation methods.

The CKX53 features a UV-resistant coating, allowing it to remain on a clean bench during UV sterilisation cycles. Weighing approximately 7 kg with a compact footprint, it can be carried with one hand. The 45-degree inclined fixed trinocular observation tube with FN22 eyepieces provides ergonomic viewing whether seated or standing. A standard camera port (Olympus camera adapter interface) supports digital imaging with compatible cameras.

Returns Policy

• Return Period: In the event of an item being received which is 'not as specified', you can return your purchase within 14 days of delivery.
• Condition of Items: Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
• Return Method: All returns must be notified in writing to hello@ttinstruments.com, the email should accompany the order number, date and reason for return and must be within 14 days of delivery.
• Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of up-to 20% is applicable for items returned for any reason other than 'not as specified'.
• Refund Method: Refunds are processed to the original method of payment within 5 business days of receiving the return.
• Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges. It will either be a replacement or a refund.
