This Nikon Eclipse Ts2 inverted routine microscope is in used, very good cosmetic condition and has been fully tested and confirmed working.

The unit is the standard diascopic (transmitted LED) illumination model — not the fluorescence FL variant. It supports Brightfield, Phase Contrast (Ph1), Apodized Phase Contrast, and Emboss Contrast observation methods via the fitted ELWD 0.3 T1-SNCP phase contrast slider and ELWD 0.3/OD75 condenser.

The Nikon Eclipse Ts2 is an inverted routine microscope designed for efficient cell culture observation and documentation, featuring a compact footprint and a newly developed contrast observation method for routine laboratory work.

Built around Nikon's industry-leading CFI60 infinity-corrected optical system, the Ts2 delivers brilliantly clear images with LED diascopic illumination that is alignment-free and provides consistent, reproducible results. The built-in fly-eye lens ensures uniform brightness across the entire field of view. The illumination module is seamlessly incorporated into the compact, vibration-resistant main body, making it durable and stable. Controls are intuitively located — commonly used functions are on the front panel, with illumination controls zoned to the sides for efficient workflow. The Emboss Contrast technique provides pseudo-three-dimensional, glare-free images of thick specimens such as iPS cells using only a standard brightfield objective and two contrast sliders, without the need for specialist optics. The side-mounted camera port allows digital image capture without obstructing stage access, and the design is compatible with use inside tissue culture hoods.
