This Nikon ECLIPSE Ci-L upright biological microscope is in very good cosmetic condition and has been fully tested and confirmed working.

The microscope is configured with the C-TE2 ergonomic tilting/telescoping trinocular head, providing an inclination range of 10° to 30° with up to 40 mm of tube extension for a comfortable working posture. A BINO/PHOTO selector lever enables light to be directed to the eyepieces or the trinocular photo port. Fitted eyepieces are Nikon CFI 10x / FN22 mm (pair, Made in Japan). The 6-position reversed nosepiece is empty — no objectives are included.

Illumination is provided by the Nikon LV-LH50PC halogen lamphouse (12 V / 50 W) powered via the included Nikon TI-PS100W/A external power supply unit (Input: 100–240 V AC; Output: DC 12 V / 8.4 A). The BF/DF selector slider and F.STOP / A.STOP upper-limit focus stop controls are fitted to the optical body.

The Ci-L is the halogen-illuminated manual variant, designed for applications requiring warm, traditional tungsten-halogen light output for stained biological specimens.

Built around Nikon's CFI60 infinity-corrected optical system, the ECLIPSE Ci-L delivers high-resolution, flat-field imaging across a wide range of magnifications when paired with CFI60 series objectives. The ergonomic trinocular head tilts from 10° to 30° and telescopes up to 40 mm, reducing neck and shoulder strain during extended sessions. The ceramic-coated mechanical stage resists scratching and allows precise XY positioning with Vernier calibrations. Upper-limit focus stops (F.STOP / A.STOP) protect both objectives and specimens. The reversed 6-position nosepiece provides easy objective access. The system supports brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, simple polarising, and epi-fluorescence observation (with appropriate accessories).
