EXFO FTB-500 Platform
The FTB-500 is EXFO's advanced modular test platform, available in four-slot (QTR) and eight-slot (OCT) configurations. It houses any of EXFO's FTB plug-and-play modules, enabling users to combine physical and optical characterisation applications with transport and datacom test modules covering 10G, 40G and 100G network analysis. The platform runs a Windows-based OS on an Intel processor, features a colour touchscreen display, and connects via USB, Wi-Fi, 3G, VPN and Bluetooth. It is compatible with EXFO Connect for cloud-based asset management and GPS-enabled location tracking.

EXFO FTB-5500B PMD Analyzer Module
The FTB-5500B uses the IEC- and TIA-approved interferometric method to deliver fast, field-proven PMD measurements. It features market-leading measurement speed of less than five seconds for any PMD value, with no autocorrelation peak for enhanced accuracy. It supports testing through EDFAs and calculates second-order PMD delay and coefficient values for precise DWDM fibre certification. Suitable for legacy fibre verification and network upgrades to 40/100/200 Gbit/s.

EXFO FTB-5800 Chromatic Dispersion Analyzer Module
The FTB-5800 uses the highly accurate phase-shift method to measure chromatic dispersion (CD) in DWDM, long-haul and ultra-long-haul optical networks. It requires no communication between source and receiver, supports testing through EDFAs, and is compliant with TIA-FOTP-169. The module covers the full C and L bands (1530–1625 nm) and is 100 Gbit/s-ready. It pairs with the FLS-5834A source for maximum dynamic range.

EXFO FLS-5834A CD/PMD Analyzer Source
The FLS-5834A is a modulated, polarised, high-power broadband SLED source designed specifically for use with the FTB-5800 Chromatic Dispersion Analyzer and FTB-5500B PMD Analyzer. Its high modulation depth makes it ideal for the phase-shift CD measurement method, and its high degree of polarisation supports accurate PMD testing through EDFAs. It can also serve as a broadband source for DWDM channel and component testing.
