The Megger MIT410/2 is a CAT IV insulation and continuity tester from the MIT400 mk2 (MIT400/2) series, designed for electrical and industrial testing across a wide range of applications including electrical installations, cable testing, motor testing, automotive, ESD, panel building, avionics, and maintenance.

Insulation testing is enhanced with feedback-controlled test voltages that limit overvoltage to just 2%, compared to the industry standard of 10–20%. The MIT410/2 adds 50 V and 100 V test ranges to the base MIT400/2, as well as Polarization Index (PI), Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR), and timed testing functions.

Continuity testing is single auto-ranging from 0.01 Ω to 1.0 MΩ, with 200 mA and 20 mA test current options retained. True RMS voltage measurement to 600 V AC/DC and frequency measurement from 15 to 400 Hz are also included. A dual digital display shows main results alongside secondary data such as test mode, test voltage, and leakage current, complemented by an analogue arc display for charge/discharge characteristics.

Live circuit detection inhibits insulation testing on circuits above the configurable threshold (default 50 V) and operates even if the protection fuse has failed. The instrument meets IEC 61010 and EN 61557 international safety requirements.

The redesigned case features rubber over-moulding for shock resistance, an IP54 weatherproof rating, a 6-cell battery compartment with separate fuse access, and a fold-out backstand.
