Marposs Air-to-Electronic Converters are high-definition pneumo-electronic interface devices that translate pneumatic gauge pressure signals into electrical signals for connection to Marposs display and processing units. Based on the pressure-divider principle, the converters use compressed air through a pneumatic circuit where an air nozzle is positioned at a set distance from the target surface; dimensional variation generates a pressure change that is transduced into an electrical signal proportional to the measured dimension.

Each Air Electronic Converter handles one independent air measurement channel. Systems can be configured as modular multi-unit assemblies of 2 to 6 converters to suit multi-channel inspection applications. Output signal versions include analogue LVDT, HBT, ±10 V, and 4–20 mA, enabling connection to Marposs or third-party electronic units.
