This Malvern Panalytical Zetasizer APS2000 is a partially tested system with cosmetic imperfections that do not affect performance. Power-on testing confirmed the chiller connects and the plate holder drops to approximately 3°C with condensation forming as expected. The chiller has been topped up with alcohol. Note: the instrument ships in transport mode — internal securing screws must be removed before first use.

The Malvern Panalytical Zetasizer APS (Auto Plate Sampler) is a robust, simple-to-operate Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) system designed for automated, high-throughput particle size analysis. It automates the measurement of samples loaded into industry-standard 96- or 384-well plates, bringing advanced light scattering capabilities to pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and protein research laboratories with minimal user input required.

The instrument transfers 20 µL of sample from each well into a precision quartz flow cell for measurement. The flow cell environment is optimised for precision temperature control and optical clarity, meaning any industry-standard disposable or reusable plate can be used without concern for plate transparency or surface quality affecting results.

Dual temperature control is a key differentiating feature: the well plate is maintained at a low, independently regulated temperature to preserve sensitive protein samples prior to measurement, while the measurement cell is separately controlled to ensure measurement accuracy.

The Zetasizer APS uses a 60 mW diode laser at 830 nm wavelength with a 90° detection angle, enabling high sensitivity equivalent to backscatter systems while accommodating small sample volumes as low as 20 µL.

Typical applications include protein aggregate detection, buffer and formulation screening, aggregation temperature (melting point) determination, storage condition optimisation, and crystallisation buffer library screening.

Measurement workflows are SOP-based, and the colour-coded plate navigator allows straightforward setup. The system supports thermal trend analysis and aggregate detection workflows.

Returns Policy

• Return Period: In the event of an item being received which is 'not as specified', you can return your purchase within 14 days of delivery.
• Condition of Items: Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
• Return Method: All returns must be notified in writing to hello@ttinstruments.com, the email should accompany the order number, date and reason for return and must be within 14 days of delivery.
• Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of up-to 20% is applicable for items returned for any reason other than 'not as specified'.
• Refund Method: Refunds are processed to the original method of payment within 5 business days of receiving the return.
• Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges. It will either be a replacement or a refund.
• Return Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless the item is 'not as specified', in this case we will arrange for the return by way of a prepaid shipping label.
