Product Overview

Condition: Used

Tested and fully functional. Cosmetic imperfections are present but do not affect performance. See photos for details of the cosmetic condition.

This listing includes the Prospa software preinstalled on a laptop with a valid license.

Test setup:
- The probe was placed in an open space at least 1 meter from any metallic object and approximately 1 meter from the ground on a solid cardboard box.

- The probe’s x-axis was positioned orthogonal to true north.

- The control unit was placed as far away from the probe as possible given the cable length restrictions.

Test methodology:

  • A coil analysis was performed to determine the inductance and capacitance of the B0 coil. Refer to image 15.
  • The noise measurement was performed to ensure that external noise was reduced to a minimum. The obtained result was below 3uV Rms, which is considered excellent. Refer to image 16.
  • A pulse-and-collect test was performed to obtain a spectral plot in order to determine the resonant frequency. Refer to image 17.
  • A spin-and-echo was performed to ensure the spin-spin relaxation and magnetic field inhomogeneity did not affect the sample.
  • Once a decent peak was obtained, an autoshim procedure was run to optimise the largest peak in the desired display range.
  • The auto shim results were applied and another run of pulse-and-collect was performed. Please refer to image 18.
  • A B1 Pulse duration test was performed to determine the optimal 90 degrees and 180 degrees excitation pulse lengths, respectively. Refer to image 19 that shows a maximum, representing the excitation duration of the 90 degrees pulse and the minimum representing the 180 degrees pulse.

Results:

  • A phantom bottle containing two tubes of doped liquids was placed within the probe to produce a 2D scan. Refer to image 20.
  • Another test of a kiwi fruit can also be seen in image 21
  • Finally, a 16x16x16 3D scan of the phantom bottle, is shown in images 22, 23 and 24.
