This Leica VT1200S Vibratome (REF 14048142066, SN 10413) was manufactured in December 2015. The unit has been PAT tested (Hawkesworth Appliance Testing — PASS) and carries the asset label 60.1F.L.02.305. The instrument is in used condition and presented in good cosmetic order with the external control panel and buffer/ice tray assembly fitted.

The Leica VT1200 S is a fully automated vibrating blade microtome (vibratome) from Leica Biosystems, designed to meet the highest sectioning demands for cutting fresh and fixed tissue in neuroscience, medicine, biology, and industry. It is recommended for multi-user laboratories where both semi-automated and fully automated sectioning functions are required. The fully automated mode offers automatic feeding, specimen retraction, and a programmable cutting window to minimise sectioning time. Settings can be stored for up to 8 individual users.

To achieve sections of the highest quality that retain viable cells on the section surface, the vertical deflection of the blade can be measured using the optional Leica Vibrocheck measurement device and minimised with the innovative blade holder design. The instrument features built-in LED illumination that provides comfortable, heat-free lighting during sectioning.
