Leica DMRE HC — Upright Research Microscope (DMR Series)

The Leica DMR series represents one of Leica Microsystems' highest-specification upright research microscope platforms. The DMRE variant features a motorised focus drive (RE denoting motor focus), while the HC designation indicates the use of Leica's 4th-generation HC (harmonic correction) infinity optical system, in which aberration corrections are distributed across the objectives, tube lens, and eyepieces for superior image quality across all contrast methods.

The microscope supports a comprehensive range of contrast techniques including brightfield, darkfield, fluorescence, differential interference contrast (DIC/ICR), incident light polarisation, and phase contrast. The stand features a built-in Bertrand lens, a rotatable fluorescence filter turret accommodating up to four filter cubes with zero pixel shift between positions, and both transmitted and incident light illumination paths. A 12 V / 100 W halogen lamp is used for transmitted light, with support for Hg or Xe arc lamp housings for fluorescence excitation. The stand is equipped with RS-232C interface capability and a lateral photo/TV port with switchable beam splitting.
