The Keysight N7909A is a 1,000 W power dissipater unit designed to add current sinking or full two-quadrant operation to any Advanced Power System (APS) N6900A or N7900A power supply. When added, it extends an APS supply's current sinking capability from the standalone 10% rated output current up to 100% of rated output current, enabling continuous source and sink testing. The N7909A does not operate as a standalone instrument — it is exclusively used in conjunction with an APS power supply.

One N7909A is required per 1 kW APS supply for full two-quadrant operation. Two N7909A units are required per 2 kW APS supply for full two-quadrant operation; a single unit with a 2 kW supply provides 50% current sinking capability. The unit connects to the APS power supply via a two-wire power connection and a communication connection, with all connections located on the rear panel of both units. The optional N7910A APS rack mount kit can be used to mount the N7909A in a standard 19-inch EIA rack.

Returns Policy

• Return Period: In the event of an item being received which is not as specified, you can return your purchase within 14 days of delivery.
• Condition of Items: Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
• Return Method: All returns must be notified in writing to hello@ttinstruments.com, and the email should include the order number, date and reason for return within 14 days of delivery.
• Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of up-to 20% is applicable for items returned for any reason other than not as specified.
• Refund Method: Refunds are processed to the original method of payment within 5 business days of receiving the return.
• Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges. It will either be a replacement or a refund.
• Return Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless the item is not as specified, in which case we will arrange a prepaid return label.
