The Keysight CX1206A is a high current adapter with expander that attaches to the CX1101A current sensor, extending its maximum measurement current to 10 A at up to 40 V. Banana jack terminals provide the ammeter + and – connections for a CX3300 series analog channel via the CX1101A.

The Keysight CX1206A is a dedicated Sensor Head and High Current Adapter with Expander for use exclusively with the CX1101A single-channel current sensor and the CX3300 Series Device Current Waveform Analyzer. It extends the maximum measurable current of the CX1101A from 1 A up to 10 A, enabling dynamic high-current waveform analysis within the CX3300 ecosystem.

The CX1206A incorporates an ESL (Equivalent Series Inductance) reduced shunt resistor technology to maintain accurate, low-noise current sensing at higher current levels. Current sensing is performed by the expander module, which connects to the DUT via a pair of banana plug cables — providing a convenient, straightforward connection for high-current in-circuit measurements.

The CX3300 Series mainframe digitises signals from the CX1101A at up to 1 GSa/s with 14-bit or 16-bit resolution, and the CX1206A allows this system to cover a broad dynamic range from sub-milliamp to 10 A.
