The Agilent / Keysight N2644A-101 is a Category 6A / Class EA Universal Permanent Link SmartProbe, part of the N2644A series designed for use with the Agilent WireScope Pro (N2640A) cable certification platform. The N2644A-101 is the Permanent Link variant (as opposed to the N2644A-100 Channel variant) and connects directly to wall plate and telecommunications panel jacks to perform permanent link certification tests. Once inserted into the SmartProbe module bay of the WireScope Pro or DualRemote Pro, the instrument automatically detects the probe and configures itself to the appropriate test parameters. The WireScope software compensates for the probe's own transmission characteristics to ensure they do not affect test results.

The N2644A series SmartProbes enable the WireScope Pro to certify LAN cables, permanent links, and channel configurations to TIA Category 6A and ISO Class EA and Class F limits.
