The Kaelus iPA-0900A is a portable passive intermodulation (PIM) analyser designed for field engineers testing cellular base station antenna systems, feedlines, and passive RF components in the 900–1000 MHz frequency band. PIM is a form of interference generated when two or more high-power signals mix within a passive component exhibiting non-linear behaviour, and is a leading cause of reduced network capacity and increased noise floors in mobile networks.
The iPA-0900A is part of the Kaelus iPA series, which is designed to be rugged, portable, and battery-operated, making it suitable for tower-top and in-building testing environments. When used in conjunction with the RTF-1000A Ranger PIM Source, the system provides a complete portable PIM test solution capable of identifying faults in connectors, cables, antennas, and other passive infrastructure.
