The HP 8493C is a gold-bodied APC-3.5 coaxial fixed attenuator rated at 3 dB from DC to 26.5 GHz. Both units carry Hewlett Packard branding and serial number B15931B, and are in used condition with cosmetically clean gold-plated bodies and white label wraps intact.

The HP / Agilent / Keysight 8493C is a coaxial fixed attenuator designed for precision RF and microwave signal-level control from DC to 26.5 GHz. It features flat frequency response and low SWR across the full operating band, making it suitable for use in RF design, network analysis, spectrum analysis, and general microwave bench testing.

The attenuator is furnished with APC-3.5 connectors, which are fully compatible with standard SMA connectors but offer improved ruggedness and repeatability over hundreds of connections. Every unit is swept-frequency tested across the full frequency range on a state-of-the-art precision analyser to ensure specifications are met at all frequencies — including any narrow resonances that spot-frequency testing could miss.

Actual attenuation values are measured and stamped on the attenuator body at DC, 4, 8, 12, 18, and 26.5 GHz for permanent easy reference. Although the 8493C is not specified above 26.5 GHz, it performs resonance-free to 34 GHz with only a small loss in performance.
