The Gossen Metrawatt SECUTEST Base 10 (M7050-V902) is a professional test instrument for measuring the electrical safety of devices, medical equipment, and arc welding units in accordance with DIN VDE 0701-0702, IEC/EN 62353 (VDE 0751), and IEC/EN 60974-4 (VDE 0544-4). The BASE10 variant features a selectable protective conductor test current of 200 mA or 10 A AC, making it suitable for testing a wide range of electrical appliances and equipment.

The instrument provides predefined and user-programmable automatic test sequences, enabling fast, repeatable safety testing without requiring specialist knowledge. A high-resolution 4.3" backlit colour TFT display shows menus, measurement results, schematic diagrams, and error messages clearly. Navigation is via a dual-level rotary selector switch combined with direct push buttons and softkeys.

Test functions include protective conductor resistance (RPE), insulation resistance (RISO) at 50–500 V DC, differential leakage current, substitute leakage current, touch leakage current, device leakage current, patient leakage current, and function testing (voltage, power, power factor, residual current). The emergency shutdown activates as soon as differential current exceeds 10 mA (adjustable to 30 mA), providing maximum operator safety.

Data entry is supported via USB-connected barcode reader, RFID scanner, or USB keyboard. Test results can be printed via an optional thermal printer (Z721S) or transferred to a PC using the ETC or IZYTRONIQ software. Firmware updates are performed via the USB slave port.

The M7050-V902 is the Master Package variant, which includes the standard SECUTEST BASE10 equipment plus additional accessories.
