The Global Instrumentation M12R is a portable Holter recorder designed for ambulatory cardiac monitoring applications. Holter recorders of this type are used in clinical and diagnostic settings to continuously record the electrical activity of the heart over an extended period — typically 24 to 48 hours — enabling clinicians to detect arrhythmias, assess pacemaker function, and evaluate symptoms such as palpitations or syncope.

The M12R is a compact, patient-worn device intended to be lightweight and unobtrusive during everyday activity. It interfaces with standard ECG electrodes and typically records multi-lead cardiac data to internal memory or a removable storage medium for subsequent analysis using compatible Holter analysis software.
