The Asymptote Cytiva VIA Freeze Quad (PR-CF-002) is the largest model in the VIA Freeze range of liquid nitrogen-free controlled-rate freezers. Developed by Asymptote (part of GE Healthcare Life Sciences, now Cytiva), the system combines customisable freezing profiles, electronic control systems, and a conduction cooling method to deliver GMP-compliant cryopreservation of biological materials including cells, tissues, cryovials, cryobags, and straws. The VIA Freeze Quad uses free-piston Stirling coolers to achieve precise, programmable cooling from ambient down to -100°C, with a 10.1-inch touchscreen interface providing full control over protocol selection, run monitoring, and data logging. The system supports 21 CFR Part 11-compliant secure data logging and can be integrated with Cytiva's Chronicle automation software for complete digital batch records.
