The Fluke Biomedical VT Plus HF is a general-purpose gas flow analyzer designed for testing both conventional mechanical ventilators and high-frequency ventilators. It measures bi-directional flow and supports simultaneous display of all 21 ventilator parameters on a single screen. Special display modes and bi-directional flow capability make it ideal for testing high-frequency ventilators at rates up to 900 BPM (15 Hz). The unit replaces the need for separate pressure gauges and flow meters by combining high- and low-flow and pressure measurement in one instrument. Results can be printed directly from the unit via a parallel printer port or captured to a PC using the included Windows-compatible graphics software. Onboard graphing displays minimum, maximum, average, and absolute measurements for all parameters. The unit supports RT-200 emulation mode for compatibility with legacy ventilator testing workflows, and can be operated with a variety of NIST-traceable precision simulation test lungs.
