This system is in used condition and is in very good cosmetic condition throughout. The FTB-500 mainframe, both test modules, and the FLS-5834A source have all been tested and confirmed working. The FTB-500 boots into EXFO ToolBox, the FTB-5500B PMD Analyzer and FTB-5800 CD Analyzer modules are both detected with Ready status, and PMD and CD measurement applications operate correctly. The FLS-5834A CD/PMD Analyzer Source powers on and completes self-test successfully.

The FLS-5834A CD/PMD Analyzer Source is a modulated, polarised, high-power SuperLED broadband source specifically designed for use with the FTB-5800 and FTB-5500B.

The FTB-5500B measures PMD using the IEC/TIA-approved interferometric method in under 5 seconds for any PMD value, with no auto-correlation peak for enhanced accuracy, and supports testing through more than 120 cascaded EDFAs. The FTB-5800 uses the approved phase-shift method to measure chromatic dispersion across the C and L bands with no communication required between source and receiver, making it ideal for testing through isolators and EDFAs. The FLS-5834A delivers broadband, polarised, modulated light in the C+L band and also serves as a high-power broadband source for DWDM channel and component testing.
