The EXFO FTB-5700-CD-PMD-EA is a single-ended dispersion analyser module designed to measure chromatic dispersion (CD) and polarisation mode dispersion (PMD) in optical fibre networks. Combining both measurement capabilities in one automated solution, it allows a single technician to perform CD and PMD characterisation from one end of the fibre, reducing the need for a second technician at the far end.

Designed for fibre qualification and high-capacity telecommunications networks, the module supports measurements across a wavelength range of 1475 nm to 1626 nm. It is suitable for qualifying optical links used in 10 Gbit/s, 40 Gbit/s and 100 Gbit/s transmission systems.

The FTB-5700-CD-PMD-EA features active CD and PMD analyser options and an angled physical contact (APC) optical connector interface. It is compatible with selected EXFO modular platforms, including the FTB-200, FTB-400 and FTB-500 series.
