The EXFO FTB-1 is a portable modular test platform designed for fast and powerful field testing of optical networks. The mainframe features a multitouch widescreen colour TFT display, a Windows operating system, and comprehensive connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and Gigabit Ethernet. Its modular architecture allows technicians to combine different test modules into a single rugged handheld unit suited to outside plant and central office environments.
The FTB-730 is a singlemode OTDR module for the FTB-1 platform, designed for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of singlemode optical fibres. The -234B-EI variant provides tri-band capability covering the O-band, C-band, and L-band wavelengths, making it suitable for characterising standard DWDM and PON infrastructures as well as live-fibre monitoring using the 1625 nm out-of-service wavelength.
